I want to be an actor
I am 27 years old and about to turn 28 soon. I am really interested in acting. I live in South Asian Country. How do I audition for movies? (Note: My city doesn't produce many movies.)

What is the best area/place for an actor to live in Vancouver? Do most auditions happen right downtown as that would dictate on where is ideal.

Some projects I’m auditioning for require the actors to record lines together over the phone/video call. How does that work? Won’t it lower the quality of the audio?

I was wondering, like Robert De Niro's script from Raging Bull that can be found online, do we have much other stuff like how actors do character prep and script work, info from the actors themselves? I find it hard sometimes with objectives, actions etc, maybe its confidence but I like seeing other peoples work before…

Hi! My name is Gastón Frías, I'm an actor and acting teacher from Argentina. Since the quarentine I've been giving a lot of online classes in both English and Spanish. Although I usually have a fixed price for my classes I wanted to make an exception here and give a couple of acting classes with the PWYC model for redd…

As title says, I'm looking for someone who can do a anime girl voice for a short film I am making for my final college project. I can't offer any compensation other than plugging in any social media in the film credits if you wanted so I'm just looking for a helpful person who can take the role. If need any more detail…

Hey hive, I've got decent to good theater and film credits from time in L.A., NY, and regional work, but am not really feeling Hollywood anymore. I want a certain quality of life and all the coronavirus stuff has made me take stock of whether or not I want to stay in U.S. much longer. (Also, I have no desire to go to A…

But i still love being on the stage and…

Moving to Los Angeles is obviously not the only option for becoming a voice actor... If you're fine with doing commercial / audiobook work for the rest of your life. Unfortunately, if you want to pursue character voice acting (such as in cartoons or video games), LA is the only option for you. All opportunities are her…

Had an interesting debate about *irrational* behavior. Basically the friend says: "Sometimes people behave irrationally for no reason." I don't buy that - I believe there is some form of reason (justified in the person's head) behind all actions. I don't believe any behavior is truly irrational - in the sense I don't b…

I started out my Los Angeles journey as a hopeful, starry-eyed, would-be actress. With that came thousands of dollar spent on acting reels, actings classes, and self tapes from small studios.
