Hi! I recently moved to Atlanta for reasons that are unrelated to acting lol but I was living in LA for a couple years and took classes at Graham Shiels Studios. I love the way those classes operate and am hoping to find something similar here! All of their teachers are real working actors who are actively booking, and…

I’m looking for a male voice actor for a paid project who has a naturally raspy, understated voice similar in tone and character to Kurt Cobain. I’m not looking for an exaggerated parody or impression. Ideally, I want someone who can capture that low-key, gravelly, slightly detached 90s grunge quality while still sound…

Just here to vent that a while ago I saw a Paul King project come through on actors access that I KNEW in my gut was for a role as Ginger Rodger’s based on the description and request for tap dancers. Sure enough I saw today that Sabrina Carpenter was cast as Ginger Rodger’s in a Paul King movie. It seems so frustratin…

Hey guys, I’m a fairly new actor in Australia (less than 3 years of on-off classes, some gigs as model/extra/actor, etc.). I was signed to an agency for a year and it opened a lot of opportunities, but I had to take a step back from acting for a few months and to sum up, I didn’t think we were a great fit to renew my c…

It’s hard to find casting calls now days. I have good headshots and self tapes according to my acting coaches but I can’t find any work and agents…

This is my script on which I am working. When a betrayed CIA analyst and a disgraced former Spetsnaz operative are framed for a botched operation, they lure Russia’s most ruthless intelligence agency into a heavily booby-trapped. Hi everyone! I'm 14 and I'm from Russia. I really want to become an actor. It's been my dream since I was 5 years old. The problem is, in my town there aren't any film companies (at least I can't find any). At school we often perform plays, and I always join them. They're not just short skits — they're real theater per…

I’ve noticed that I tend to keep my lips/jaw quite tense when I speak, and I also move my eyebrows a LOT. I’ve become very aware of it on camera, and sometimes it makes my expressions look unnatural to me. Is this something actors consciously work on and retrain? I don’t mean forcing expressions, but changing an automa…

I'm a mid twenties actress, graduated from a reputable UK drama school 3 years ago. I was very fringe theatre "the CRAFT" oriented at the time and didn't really wanna engage with the agents industry side of it because I didn't feel screen was for me. About a year ago I realised that making my own work wasn't actually a…

I carry a lot of narratives about Hollywood being an unsafe place to work from the media and what the general public thinks of actors. At the same time, I know it's possible to have a completely different experience. I know it's possible to genuinely enjoy going to work every day as an actor, to feel supported by the p…

I’m (25F) a voice actor, haven’t done much, mostly indie stuff. Very much enjoy it. I also do community theater. I believe doing theater has helped me be a better voice actor, but I don’t plan to do community theater professionally, for me it’s just a fun way to be social in my community and do something enjoyable. Hello NYC-based background actors! Curious about the different productions currently filming with a lot of extras in NYC. Looks are so nightly valued, I worry I’m not pretty enough to act. Edit: My high school director would constantly typecast me as the ugly comic relief or the old person. When it comes to writing a pitch, the word vague comes to mind because we as writers should refrain from using a vague sentence in our pitch. Clarity is all I write.
