There are a few constraints though - low budget, streaming services not network tv or theatre. If you don't write it - who would you hire to write with? Which actors would you hire and why? What would your character be like?

I live in Morocco, and I'm 23. I did theater when I was a kid (from 3rd to 6th grade). When I moved to college I started studying film making. I want to move to the US for the sole purpose of pursuing an acting career, I don't really chase after the celebrity life-style (that kind of hype, you know). I just want to do…

Just interested! Doesn't have to be one of those big, totally life\-changing moments, can just be something as simple as finishing a show and thinking, "I could do this a thousand times over" :\)

Dear acting community, If there is one thing we can all agree on, it's that booking a job is bloody difficult. Most of the time, its not down to our talent, more, what we look like. *"S/He's good, but they just don't look right"* \- Said many Casting Directors around the world... The industry is making a shift towards…

Hello! I'm looking for actors in LA who'd like to create a sort of relaxed partnership that would allow us to learn from each other. I'd like to learn how to write for the actor, to understand what's helpful, what's redundant etc. when an actor approaches a script, and my aim is for this to be mutually beneficial. With…

##Hello! Let's get straight to the... **Questions:** Is it difficult for novice actors to find ways to practice? What kind of roles do actors take before they become professionals? How eager are actors in putting their efforts into unpaid collaborations? NOTE - I'm sure my questions will have many varied answers, so yo…

Hey there my fellow aspiring actors. Lately I was thinking how long is going to take me to make a whole 3min videobook at this pace. And even then it's only for agencies and such. So I thought about faking a videobook. Just filming myself acting in different small scenes made specifically for it. Would that be acceptab…

Okay, so I’m in the process of writing a web series, and I’ve acted in a couple. I hear all the time how web media is the next step, but then I realized I don’t really ever WATCH any web series. I asked around and none of my actor friends could name a web series that hadn’t already been picked up by a major network. Ho…

Hello, I was wondering if people could tell me what cities in the USA host acting communities other than NYC and/or LA. I know that Austin does as well as Boston, Seattle, Chicago to name a few. But I need a first person account on it. Whats the theater scene like there? What about film/TV? Do any of them do good voice…

Due to some various factors (time conflicts, etc) the past couple roles have been fairly small ("Man 5", "Doctor"), etc. Should I still put them on my resume? On one hand, I want to show I've been consistently working. On the other, I don't want people to think I'm a weak actor. Any advice?

Hey, I recently did a commercial audition (non union, I’m SAG E) and it’s been well over two months since I received payment. The actors I worked with haven’t been paid either and it seems like we have been cut from the final ad (they’re still testing I think) The buyout was 1500 and the session fee was $500 + %10. If…

I’m trying to get started as an actor. I wanna work in film (I’ve never had much interest in theater work) but I don’t see any sort of film community in my area. Its a small budget film, they're only paying $40 per day of shooting. I've met with the actress who most of my scenes are with a couple times already, once with the director. We feel like we're in a good place. Doesn't 7 hours of free time seem excessive?
