I know there's people like "Awkwafina", "Seal", "Slash", etc. But basically my real name is an uncommon Arab name that no one ever pronounces right, "Seif Naber". It's ugly on paper, in my opinion. However, it's pronounced "Safe Neighbor". So I've been using that as a stage name for my music (hence the username) becaus…

Hello guys, I am a 32 year old female, originally from Ukraine wanting to act, primarily films. Where do I begin? Do I move to LA? Do I try out in New York first? My only ties to Television is my associate degree in Communication Arts/TV and Film Production. I enjoyed it but it was more about editing and nothing with d…

Hey guys, so just a little about me. I recently graduated with my MFA in Acting and moved to LA. I’ve been making strides toward becoming a working voice actor for the past 10 years, and I finally felt like I was ready to go for it. I made a character demo with a well-known director in the industry about a year and a h…

Hey I am a beginner with no experience, but I am still at the age where if I start I won’t have any issues catching up. I have kind of always had an affinity for acting, although I thought of it as like a dream job, a job that I probably wouldn’t be able to work, but then I suddenly realized that I’m young, I can do wh…

***Hey everyone,*** A young aspiring actress here. I'm currently a junior and planning to move to LA or NY for acting once I graduate (yes, cliche but...moving on). Now that that's out of the way, I have this slight dilemma of what type of acting I want to do. For about two years I was so hung up on TV & Film, I didn't…

I’m watching parks and rec and I like to imagine what they’re thinking/feeling behind the acting. Sometimes I wonder if they are sad on a certain taping day (or never sad because they’re making bank), I wonder how they feel about having a partner in the show and kissing. Since they’re are good looking or popular cast m…

I’ve always wondered how so many actors seem to be able to cry easily and didn’t think I could do it. I’m playing Candy in Mice and Men and it just happened in two scenes. The director went ape shit and now I feel like I’m under pressure to do it every time. Any advice out there?

I spoke with him today and although he is not what I would consider to be camp, he seems very hung up on the idea that all agents or casting people will try to force him to take camp roles, or hide to his sexuality. He doesn’t want to be forced into a corner where he feels like he would have to take roles or act in a c…

I am, at present, a Non-Union actor. I will one day join the union when the time is right and it makes sense for me to do so. That being said, I know there is a SAG rule that mandates one must change their professional name if it matches the name of an actor who is already a member (even if it is your REAL name). Is th…

10 years ago I registered with Central casting in Los Angeles. Hello London actors! Anyone heard about Middleweek Newton academy? Supposedly it's mostly a screen acting course with an agency read at the end.
