Hello ? I’m looking for thoughts on an experienced UK-based actor, training for the first time on the Yale MFA Certificate? I’ve always agreed on U.K. drama schools being the best, and graduating into a market you have connections / visa to work etc. I unfortunately can’t afford it for 3 years, however, the Yale MFA ce…

To start, a disclaimer: I love voice acting, I do. The moments I’ve had in the booth where I’ve laughed my head off because of the absurdity of the things I’ve said, and been incredibly proud of work I’ve done. BUT. The career - the in between bits - are so draining. I’m auditioning and auditioning, and nothing’s worki…

Have you ever stepped back and thought about the language we use to talk about acting? Or wondered what a non-actor would think about what is said in acting class? Acting classes are full of metaphors, abstractions, aphorisms, and occasionally statements that sound almost mystical—especially out of context. Some are be…

Hi all, can someone who has insider knowledge or worked for a casting office chime in? I’ve always been curious if being one of the first few actors to submit their self tape video files into an eco cast on Actors Access does anything to increase the chance of casting viewing it? Are the tapes organized chronologically…
